Request deletion of your Tayer Rider account
This public resource lets any Tayer Rider user request deletion of their account and associated data, including without access to the app.
How to submit a request
In the Rider app, open Settings → Privacy & data → Delete Account and confirm. Finish or cancel an active trip first. If you cannot use the app, email support@otlobtech.com with the subject “Delete Tayer Rider account” from the email associated with your account where possible. Include your registered phone number and state clearly that you want your Rider account and associated eligible data deleted. Do not attach identity documents to ordinary email.
What happens when you delete in the app
Deletion takes effect immediately: you are signed out on every device, the account is closed and blocked, your name, phone number, gender, and profile photo are removed from it, and your saved addresses are deleted.
What an email request covers
A verified email request covers everything the in-app deletion does, plus a review of the other personal data associated with the account that Tayer is not legally required or permitted to retain. Eligible data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized rather than merely hidden.
Identity verification
We use proportionate verification to protect your account from unauthorized deletion. We may confirm control of the registered phone or email or provide a secure verification step, and will not require more information than reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Records that may be retained
Egyptian ride-hailing rules require trip and route records to be kept for at least six months. Ratings, cash-settlement, incident, complaint, fraud-prevention, and claim records, and the closed account record itself, may also be kept when Egyptian law requires or permits it. Retained records are limited to the justified purpose, access-restricted, never used to reactivate the account, and deleted or anonymized when the applicable period ends.
Timing and confirmation
For an email request, we will acknowledge it, complete any necessary verification, tell you the expected completion timing, and confirm when processing is complete. If we retain a category of data, we will explain the category and reason where disclosure is legally permitted.
Restriction, objection, and complaints
You may instead ask to restrict processing, correct data, or receive a retention explanation. You may challenge a refusal or incomplete response through support and exercise any complaint right available before the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Center or another competent authority.
Submit the deletion request
Email support@otlobtech.com with the subject “Delete Tayer Rider account” and include the registered phone number. We will reply with verification and completion information.
