1

Agreement and Tayer’s regulated role

By applying, accepting these terms, or using Tayer Driver, you enter into a binding agreement with Otlob Tech, the operator of Tayer ("Tayer", "we", "us"). Tayer supplies the technology and operational services used to onboard drivers, match and record trips, support users, monitor safety, and perform the duties imposed on the company that makes the app-based transport service available.

Where Egyptian Law No. 87 of 2018 and Cabinet Resolution No. 2180 of 2019 apply, Tayer’s role is not limited to that of a passive intermediary. Tayer remains responsible for the company licensing, driver and vehicle checks, service monitoring, records, pricing, consumer, privacy, complaint-handling, and other operator duties that applicable law places on it. Contract wording cannot transfer or exclude a non-waivable duty.

Trips may be enabled only for a vehicle category and operating area for which the required company approvals and the applicable driver and vehicle permits, cards, and registrations are in force. App access or Tayer review is not a government authorization. The regulatory treatment and approvals required for paid passenger trips by motorcycle must be confirmed under current Egyptian transport and traffic rules before operation. The Arabic version is primary in Egypt; English is provided for convenience.

2

Your status and independent business responsibility

You provide and personally perform transportation using your motorcycle. You decide when to go online and may accept or decline requests, subject to safety, anti-fraud, service-quality, and legal rules. You are generally an independent service provider, not Tayer’s employee, agent, partner, or representative, and you may not bind Tayer.

Contract wording does not override mandatory law or the real working relationship. If Egyptian labor, social-insurance, transport, tax, or another law classifies the relationship differently, that law controls. Tayer may exercise the screening and operational oversight required of licensed app-based transport companies without that statement alone deciding employment status.

3

Eligibility, application, and continuing disclosure

You must be legally eligible to drive passengers and contract in Egypt and must supply complete, authentic, current information. The application currently includes your full name, date of birth, address, national ID number, phone and email, motorcycle make/model/year/plate, and the required document images or PDFs.

  • Maintain a valid national ID, motorcycle driving license, motorcycle registration/license, criminal-record certificate, and every driver, vehicle, work, operating, and platform card or permit required by law.
  • Complete required training, background checks, social-insurance and tax steps, and vehicle inspection. Where legally required and implemented by Tayer after appropriate notice, you must also complete medical-fitness or drug/alcohol checks and cooperate with lawful periodic re-checks. The current Driver app does not collect medical records or drug/alcohol test results.
  • Notify Tayer promptly of expiry, suspension, a criminal charge or conviction relevant to safety, a serious traffic event, insurance lapse, ownership change, any condition that makes you legally unfit or unsafe to drive, or any fact that makes prior information inaccurate. Do not send diagnostic medical records unless Tayer lawfully requests them through an approved secure process.
  • Never lend, sell, rent, share, or transfer your account or let another person perform a trip under it. The displayed driver and motorcycle must match the person and vehicle that arrive.
4

Motorcycle condition, insurance, and safety equipment

You are the custodian and operator of the motorcycle and are responsible for its lawful registration, technical condition, maintenance, tires, brakes, lights, mirrors, fuel, cleanliness, passenger fittings, and any legally required platform mark. You must carry compulsory motor insurance and any additional passenger or commercial-use coverage required for app-based transport, and provide evidence on request.

Before each shift and trip, inspect the motorcycle and provide a compliant, clean, correctly sized passenger helmet. Do not go online or continue a trip if the motorcycle, helmet, weather, road, your condition, or passenger load is unsafe or unlawful. Tayer’s inspection or document review does not transfer your ongoing duty to keep the motorcycle roadworthy.

5

Safe driving and traffic compliance

You control the motorcycle and route and are responsible for compliance with speed limits, signals, passenger and load limits, helmet rules, mobile-phone restrictions, licensing conditions, and lawful police or transport directions. Never drive while tired, ill, distracted, impaired by alcohol or drugs, or affected by medication that makes driving unsafe.

Do not speed or break a rule because a rider asks you to. Choose a lawful pickup/drop-off point and stop a trip when continuing would create an immediate safety risk. You are responsible for traffic fines and offenses caused by your conduct, without limiting another party’s responsibility for its own fault.

6

App, device, sessions, and location

Use a secure, compatible Android phone and one authorized driver session. Tayer stores an installation identifier and may revoke another session to protect your account. Do not spoof GPS, alter the app, automate requests, manipulate fares or availability, disable safety functions, or conceal an active trip.

When online and idle, the app shares a quantized availability location and pauses updates in the background. During an active trip, it shares precise location, time, heading, and accuracy through an Android foreground location service, including while the app is backgrounded. Keep required location and notification permissions enabled during the active trip; go offline when you do not want to receive requests.

7

Requests, fares, cash, cancellations, and records

Review the pickup, destination, fare, and trip information before accepting. Acceptance creates a commitment to perform the trip safely and in good faith unless cancellation is reasonably necessary. Contact the rider only for the assigned trip and do not arrange an off-platform replacement trip, additional undisclosed charge, or payment intended to evade Tayer records or controls.

Tayer currently supports cash trips. Collect only the fare shown or validly agreed in the app, make accurate cash-settlement acknowledgements, and do not pressure a rider for tips. Fare, cancellation, platform-fee, and settlement rules shown before acceptance form part of these terms. Records may be corrected after a documented error, fraud finding, or legal requirement.

Repeated acceptance followed by avoidable cancellation, failure to move toward pickup, false completion, cash manipulation, collusion, or GPS manipulation may result in review, adjustment, recovery of proven amounts, or restriction.

8

Rider treatment and prohibited conduct

Treat riders and the public with dignity. You must not discriminate, harass, sexually misconduct yourself, threaten, assault, retaliate, solicit an inappropriate relationship, carry a weapon unlawfully, use or distribute drugs, steal, deliberately damage property, disclose trip information, or use rider contact details after the legitimate trip/support purpose ends.

Do not transport an unaccompanied minor, an unlawful number of passengers, prohibited goods, or a person or load you cannot carry safely. You may refuse or end a trip for an objective safety or legal reason, but not for a protected or discriminatory reason. Report serious behavior through support and contact authorities when required.

9

Accidents, injury, death, and property damage

After an accident or immediate danger, stop safely, protect life, contact emergency and law-enforcement authorities, obtain medical assistance, comply with reporting and insurance duties, and notify Tayer as soon as practicable. Preserve the order ID, location, photos, witness information, police/medical reports, and insurance details without obstructing emergency care or an investigation.

Do not admit or deny another party’s legal claim on Tayer’s behalf. Responsibility is determined by the facts and applicable law. You remain responsible for your driving, traffic offenses, vehicle custody, and negligent or unlawful acts; the rider remains responsible for their own fault; and Tayer remains responsible for its own fault and statutory duties. We may cooperate with authorities and insurers and suspend access during a serious safety review.

10

Lost property and confidentiality

Check the motorcycle after a trip. If you find an item, keep it reasonably safe, report it promptly, do not inspect or use it unnecessarily, and arrange return through a safe support-approved process. You may not demand an unauthorized fee, hold property as leverage, or disclose the owner’s information.

You are responsible for theft, deliberate damage, or negligent loss while an item is in your custody under applicable law. Tayer may facilitate contact but does not guarantee recovery and does not take custody unless it expressly confirms otherwise.

11

Costs, tax, social insurance, and earnings

Unless the law or an express written program states otherwise, you bear the motorcycle, fuel, maintenance, phone/data, licensing, permits, insurance, helmet, inspection, fines, tax, and social-insurance costs of your activity. You must register, report, and pay amounts required from you and provide evidence needed for Tayer’s lawful regulatory reporting.

The app may display trip totals and operational metrics, but these are not tax, accounting, insurance, or financial advice and may require reconciliation. Tayer does not guarantee a minimum number of requests, earnings, working hours, or exclusive territory.

12

Monitoring, ratings, restriction, and termination

Tayer may use document status, trip records, location consistency, cancellations, acceptance, ratings, complaints, cash settlement, integrity signals, and lawful re-checks to operate the service and identify risk. Metrics are contextual signals, not automatic proof of wrongdoing. Serious adverse action should include human review and a support path where practicable.

We may warn, pause onboarding, reject an application, limit, suspend, or terminate access for document failure, legal ineligibility, safety risk, fraud, account sharing, material breach, serious or repeated complaints, non-cooperation with a lawful investigation, or a regulatory direction. Immediate suspension may be necessary to protect users or evidence. You may stop using Tayer at any time, but accrued payment, incident, confidentiality, and legal duties survive.

13

Account closure and deletion

You may stop using Tayer and request closure of your Driver account and deletion of associated data through the public Driver deletion resource at https://www.otlobtech.com/projects/tayer/driver/account-deletion. We may use proportionate identity verification and will confirm the action taken.

Closure does not erase accrued payment duties, another person’s data, incident evidence, lawful claims, or records that Tayer must or is permitted to retain for transport, traffic, tax, insurance, safety, fraud-prevention, limitation, court, or regulatory purposes. Eligible data will be deleted or irreversibly anonymized, and retained data will be limited, protected, and removed when its lawful retention period ends, as explained in the Driver Privacy Policy.

14

Liability, indemnity, and insurance allocation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, each party is responsible for proven direct loss reasonably caused by its breach, negligence, unlawful act, or misconduct. Tayer is not responsible for loss caused solely by your driving, motorcycle, employee or substitute, rider, third party, or an event outside our reasonable control where we did not breach a duty and law does not impose responsibility on us.

Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross fault where exclusion is prohibited, tortious acts, death, injury, property damage, consumer harm, privacy violation, or any transport-company obligation to the extent it cannot lawfully be excluded. A document check, app feature, route, fare, or rating does not guarantee safety or replace your professional judgment.

You will indemnify Tayer and affected third parties for reasonable, proven claims, fines, damages, and costs arising from your unlicensed or uninsured operation, traffic violation, tax or social-insurance default, fraud, deliberate misconduct, negligent driving, account sharing, unlawful data use, or material breach, but not to the extent caused by Tayer’s fault, a rider’s fault, or a non-transferable duty of another party. Insurance must be used first where applicable, without limiting lawful rights against a responsible person.

15

Service changes and force majeure

Maps, communications, cloud services, demand, and the app may fail or be interrupted. We may change or discontinue a feature for safety, legal, or operational reasons. We do not guarantee continuous availability, demand, route accuracy, or earnings.

Neither party is liable for failure caused solely by an event beyond reasonable control to the extent recognized by Egyptian law, such as certain disasters, government action, widespread outage, or civil disturbance. This does not excuse safe driving, emergency response, accrued payment, data protection, or another duty that can still reasonably be performed.

16

Complaints, governing law, and changes

Contact support promptly and provide the order ID and relevant evidence. We may investigate, preserve records, hear affected parties, and refer a matter to police, regulators, insurers, or advisers. Nothing prevents a lawful report to a competent authority or a claim in court.

These terms are governed by Egyptian law and disputes are subject to the competent Egyptian courts. We may update the terms for legal, safety, or product reasons and will publish the effective date and seek renewed acceptance when required. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights or liabilities.

17

Contact and notices

Send application questions, complaints, incident reports, and legal notices to support@otlobtech.com. Include the phone/email on your account and order ID where relevant, but do not email passwords or new identity files unless we provide a secure upload route.
